シュリー・スワミジのスピーチ：
シュリー・グル・ダッタ　ジェイ・グル・ダッタ

皆さんはヴェーンカテーシュワラ・ヴァイバヴァムを歌いました。大変嬉しいです。短期間で録音されて、皆さんも短期間で習得したことでしょう。すべての楽曲は、ハリ・ナーマ・サンキールタナ、またはディヴィヤ・ナーマ・サンキールタナのスタイルに基づいて作曲されています。

機会があればいつでも作詞作曲を続けています。今はiPadで書くのがとても便利です。私が書いた後、タイピングやその他の修正は学者が行います。これは単なるバジャンではありません。ディヴィヤ・ナーマ・サンキールタナです。様々なラーガで神の名を何十万回も繰り返し歌うことをバジャンと呼びます。ナーマ・サンキールタナには、神の名とサンキールタナの両方があります。

楽曲の中には、神への祈りを捧げるもの、主に問いかけるもの、そして神の名を扱うものがあります。これらは人々に理解しやすいものです。古代には、大勢の人が集まることやマイクシステムなどの概念は存在しませんでした。そのため、マハトマの中には早朝に神の御名を唱える人もいました。

マハトマたちの生活は非常に過酷でした。しかし、彼らはパラマートマを深く愛していました。神は彼らに苦難を与え、彼らが主を讃美できるよう、ただ口から賛美を唱えられるようにしたのです。昔はバーガヴァタムやその他の叙事詩を読む時間がありました。しかし、今はもう時間がありません。外国の支配からの自由を勝ち取ることに忙しかった頃は、偉大な聖典に心を奪われることもありませんでした。マハトマたちが庶民の生活の中に現れたのは、まさにその時でした。ラーマクリシュナ・パラマ・ハムサ、スワミ・ヴィヴェーカーナンダはその最良の例です。私たちは彼らの生き方を覚え、彼らに倣わなければなりません。

彼らはギーターの真髄を説きました。バーラタの独立闘争の間、アーンドラ、ケーララなど、インドの様々な州で多くの聖者が現れました。神はマハトマたちを地上に波のように送りました。

シャンカラーチャリヤ、ラーマーヌジャーチャリヤ、マドゥヴァーチャリヤもまた、多くの努力をしました。しかし、それだけでは十分ではありません。プランダラ・ダーサとティヤーガラージャもいます。ティヤーガラージャの弟が神の偶像を盗み、その罪を負わされました。その時、彼は「ナグモーム・ガナレーニ」など多くの作品を作曲しました。

今、私たちは人工知能（AI）の高度な時代に生きています。私は最近、アメリカの若者たちに警告しました。AIに傾倒すればするほど、私たちは堕落へと向かう可能性があるからです。Chat GPTのようなツールは、どんな質問にも答えてくれます。これは素晴らしいことです。

ウェブ検索をするとすぐに回答が返ってきます。マハーバーラタなどについて質問することもできます。私たちの信者たちも、Chat GPTなどを精神性、健康、自己啓発のために使うという新しいトレンドを始めています。コンピューター分野の信奉者たちもこのトレンドを受け入れようとしています。彼らは私に許可を求めました。私は彼らに、霊性の向上のために使う限りは良いことだと伝えました。

何千人もの子どもたちが私を支持しています。英語が堪能ではないので、どうしてそうなるのか分かりません。私の英語は片言です。最近のスワミたちは皆、とても上手な英語を話します。子どもの頃、英語の単語を少しでも使っても、良い評価をもらえず、牛糞水で口をすすぎなさいと言われました。高校10年生の時、英語以外の科目はすべて合格しました。私の恩師であるシーター・ラーマイヤー先生（ここの理事でもありました）が、私の学習を助けてくれました。

一生懸命練習して勉強しようとしましたが、どうにもできませんでした。文法は最悪でした。でも、先生は何とか私を合格させてくれました。

だから、アメリカの子どもたちは私の真似をしているんです。彼らの英語は理解できません。文法のないトリニダード英語も理解できます。私が英語で話しているYouTubeのダッタ・ヴァニの動画を見てみてください。

アメリカでは、1000人が集まり、スワラ（音符）を含め、スワミジのバジャンを歌いました。これはギネス世界記録にもなりました。皆さんも同じように歌ったことでしょう。スワミジは、ラーマクリシュミッションの先見者であるムクティダーナンダ師にお会いできて嬉しく思っています。

皆さんはバジャンとサンキールタナの違い、そしてそれらをどのように人生に取り入れるべきかについてお聞きになりました。チャットGPTについてもお聞きになりました。私はダラスで行われたプログラムについてもお聞きしました。

このスピーチの機会を与えてくださったスワミジに心から感謝しています。

私たちは皆、神を中心とした人生を送るべきです。神聖なエネルギーは私たちの中に宿っています。祈り、ジャパ、そしてディヤーナを通して、そのことを理解しなければなりません。私たちはこのクシェートラのような神聖な場所に来ます。神の御名には特別な力があります。だからこそ、ダーサは繰り返しこう説くのです。「私たちの悲しみは神の神聖な御名によってのみ消え去り、幸福は神聖な御名を通してのみ得られる。至福は永遠であり、他のすべては滅びる。」

私たちはどのように義務を果たすべきでしょうか？主クリシュナはギーターの中でこう説いています。「ヨーガ的知覚によって、あなたのカルマ／義務を果たしなさい。私たちはすべての行いを神に捧げなければなりません。」

もし私たちが自分の行いを神に捧げるなら、そのカルマ、つまりセーヴァーもまた神への礼拝となるのです。生きとし生けるものをシヴァ神として見なし、奉仕してください。これはラーマクリシュナ・パラマ・ハムサの教えです。

私たちは時間を捧げ、ディヤーナ（瞑想）、ジャパ（マントラ詠唱）、キールタナ（神の栄光を歌うこと）を行います。残りの時間もまた、すべての行い／義務を神に捧げることで神聖なものとすべきです。こうして、私たちの心は徐々に浄化されていきます。私たちはシュリー・スワミジの荘厳なる御前にいます。主ダッタとチャームンディ・マーターの恩寵がすべての人に降り注ぎますように。シュリー・スワミジの恩寵がすべての人に降り注ぎますように。

Sri Guru Datta Jaya Guru Datta
So far, all of you have sung Venkateswara Vaibhavam. I am happy for that. It was recorded in a short time and all of you have learnt in a short time. All the compositions are composed based on Hari Naama Sankeertana or Divya Naama Sankeertana style.
I keep writing whenever I get a chance. Now it’s very convenient to write on the iPad. After I write, the typing and other corrections are made by the scholars. This is not just Bhajans. It is Divya Naama Sankeertana. Singing the divine name repeatedly for lakhs of times in various Raagas is referred to as Bhajan. In Naama Sankeertana we have both divine names and Sankeertana.
Some compositions offer prayers to the God, some question the Lord while some involve the divine names. These are easy for the people to understand. In the ancient days, mass gathering, the concept of mic system etc did not exist. So, some Mahatmas used to sing the divine names in the early morning.
The lives of Mahatmas are very tough. But they liked Paramatma a lot. The Lord gave them troubles only so that they could extol the Lord from their mouth. In the days of yore there was time for Bhagavatam and other epics etc. Now we don’t have time. When we were busy in attaining freedom from foreign rule, we were not inclined towards great scriptures. That’s when Mahatmas came into the lives of common people. Ramakrishna Parama Hamsa, Swami Vivekananda are the best examples. We must remember their way of life and follow them.
They have preached the essence of the Gita. During the freedom struggle for Bharat, many saints emerged in various states of India – Andhra, Kerala and other places. God has sent the Mahatmas as waves on Earth.
Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya, Madhvacharya also strived a lot. But it is not enough. We have Purandara daasa and Tyagaraja too. Tyagaraja’s own brother stole the idol of the Lord and the blame came to him. That’s when he wrote many compositions like Nagumomu Ganaleni and so on.
Now we are in the sophisticated age of Artificial Intelligence (AI). I recently cautioned the youth in the USA because the more we are inclined towards it, the more we may move towards the downfall. The tools like Chat GPT give answers to any question. That’s nice.
It gives responses immediately after performing web search. We can ask questions about Mahabharata and so on. Our devotees also have started a new trend – how to use Chat GPT etc for spirituality, health and self development. Our devotees who are in the computer field want to embrace this trend. They asked my permission. I told them that it is good as long as you use it for spiritual upliftment.
Thousands of kids are behind me. I don’t know how because I don’t even have good proficiency in English. My English is broken. All the Swamis now-a-days speak very good English. If I used any english words in my childhood, I was never given good or I was asked to clean my mouth with the cow dung water. I passed all subjects in my 10th grade except English. My old teacher Sita Ramayya (was executive trustee here too) helped me to learn.
I tried hard to learn by practicing but somehow I couldn’t. My grammar skills were the worst. My teacher passed me some how.
So, the kids in the USA follow me. I can’t understand the English they speak. I can understand the Trinidad English also which has no grammar too. You can check the YouTube Datta Vani videos in which I spoke in English.
In the USA, one thousand people congregated and sang bhajans of Swamiji in unison, inclusive of the Swaras. That has set a Guinness World record too. You too have sung in the same manner. Swamiji is happy to see the seer of Ramakrishna’s mission – Muktidananda ji.
Muktidananda ji’s speech:
All of you have heard about the difference between Bhajan and Sankeertana and how to inculcate them in our lives. You have also heard about Chat GPT too. I also heard about the programs that were undertaken in Dallas.
I am wholeheartedly grateful for Swamiji for giving me this chance to speak.
All of us should lead a life centred towards God. The divine energy is right within us. We must understand that by means of prayers, Japa and Dhyana. We come to sacred places like this Kshetra. The names of God have a special power. That is why, the Daasas repeat time and again – Our sorrow can be destroyed only with the divine names of God. We can attain happiness only through the divine names. Supreme bliss is eternal, everything else perishes.
How should we perform our duty?? Lord Krishna preaches in the Gita – Perform your karma /duty by means of Yogic perception. We must offer all our actions to God.
If we offer our actions to God, then such karma or seva also becomes worship to God. Serve the beings by seeing them as Shiva. This is the preaching of Ramakrishna Parama Hamsa.
We devote time and perform dhyana, japa and Keerthana. We should make the remaining time also divine by offering all our actions/duties to the Lord. With this, our mind becomes purified gradually. We are in the august presence of Sri Swamiji. May the grace of Lord Datta and Chamundi Maata shower on all. May the grace of Sri Swamiji be showered on all.
