Q)もしマントラが秘密とされるならば、なぜそれが印刷され書籍に載っていたりするのでしょうか？

シュリ・スワミジ）マントラは秘密ではありません。
マントラ・ウパデーシャ（イニシエーション）が秘密です。
マントラの本を読んたとしても、それがイニシエーションによって授けられたものでなければ、あなたはそれをマントラとは呼べません。
書籍で読めるのは知識だけです。アヌシュターナ（霊的実践）ではありません。

Q) If mantras are supposed to be a secret, then how is it that they are printed in books?

Sri Swamiji) Mantra is not a secret.
Mantra upadeśa (initiation) is a secret.
Even if you read a mantra from a book, if it has not been initiated to you then you cannot call it a mantra.
In books, what you read is only for knowledge but not as an anuṣṭhāna (spiritual practice).
